Welcome to the Mile Institute Community
At Mile Institute, we strive to create a welcoming, respectful, knowledgeable, and spiritually enriching learning environment where students, scholars, instructors, staff, and community members can learn, collaborate, and grow together.
These Community Guidelines establish the standards of behavior expected from everyone participating in our online learning community, including:
- Students and learners
- Scholars and Muftis
- Instructors and trainers
- Parents and guardians
- Staff and administrators

These guidelines apply across all Mile Institute services, including:

By participating in our community, you agree to follow these guidelines.
1. Our Community Values
We encourage every member to uphold the following principles:

Treat every member with dignity, courtesy, and professionalism.

Promote authentic learning, constructive discussion, and intellectual growth.

Act honestly and ethically in all interactions.
Responsibility
Take responsibility for your actions, contributions, and communications.

Show patience, kindness, and understanding toward others.
Islamic Ethics
Demonstrate good character (Akhlaq), sincerity (Ikhlas), honesty (Sidq), humility (Tawadhu), and respect in all interactions.
2. Be Respectful
Healthy discussion is encouraged.
However, users must:

✅ Respect differing opinions.
✅ Engage in constructive dialogue.
✅ Focus on ideas rather than individuals.
✅ Assume good intentions where possible.
Users must not:
❌ Insult others.
❌ Mock individuals.
❌ Humiliate community members.
❌ Use offensive language.
❌ Engage in personal attacks.
❌ Intentionally provoke conflicts.
Disagreements are acceptable. Disrespect is not.
3. Promote Positive Learning
Our platform exists for education and knowledge sharing.
Users should:
- Ask thoughtful questions.
- Share relevant insights.
- Support fellow learners.
- Participate in discussions productively.
- Contribute meaningful content.
Avoid:
- Repetitive posting.
- Off-topic discussions.
- Deliberate disruption of learning activities.
- Misleading information.
4. Respect Scholars, Instructors, and Staff
Mile Institute values scholarly engagement and respectful communication.
Users must:
- Interact respectfully with scholars and instructors.
- Accept constructive feedback professionally.
- Follow classroom and forum rules.
- Use appropriate language when asking questions.
Users must not:
- Harass scholars or instructors.
- Abuse staff members.
- Make threats.
- Use disrespectful or inflammatory language.
Questions and discussions should be conducted with courtesy and sincerity.
5. Respect Fellow Students
Every learner deserves a safe and welcoming environment.
Users must not:
- Bully others.
- Intimidate participants.
- Exclude individuals unfairly.
- Ridicule questions or mistakes.
- Create a hostile learning environment.
Encourage learning and support others in their educational journey.
6. Keep Discussions Relevant
To maintain a productive educational environment:
Allowed
- Course-related discussions
- Educational questions
- Islamic learning topics
- Academic discussions
- Constructive feedback
Not Allowed
- Spam
- Unrelated promotions
- Excessive self-promotion
- Political campaigning
- Commercial advertising
- Repeated off-topic content
Administrators may move, edit, or remove off-topic discussions.
7. Ask Mufti Etiquette
When submitting questions through Ask Mufti:
Do
- Be honest and accurate.
- Provide relevant information.
- Ask respectfully.
- Accept that scholarly opinions may differ.
Do Not
- Submit abusive content.
- Mock scholars.
- Misrepresent answers.
- Submit intentionally misleading information.
- Use the service for harassment.
Questions should be asked with sincerity and respect.
8. No Harassment or Abuse
Harassment of any kind is strictly prohibited.
This includes:

❌ Threats
❌ Bullying
❌ Intimidation
❌ Offensive remarks
❌ Hate speech
❌ Discriminatory comments
❌ Stalking behavior
❌ Repeated unwanted contact
Any behavior that makes others feel unsafe or unwelcome may result in enforcement action.
9. No Hate Speech or Discrimination
Users may not:
- Promote hatred.
- Encourage violence.
- Target individuals or groups with abusive language.
- Discriminate against others.
- Create hostile environments.
Mile Institute promotes respectful discussion and lawful expression while maintaining community safety and dignity.
10. Protect Privacy
Respect the privacy of others.
Users must not:
- Share private information.
- Publish personal details without consent.
- Reveal confidential communications.
- Doxx or expose users.
- Collect personal data from other members.

- Home addresses
- Government identification
- Financial information

11. Respect Intellectual Property
All users must respect copyright and intellectual property rights.
Do not:
- Share copyrighted course materials.
- Upload pirated content.
- Redistribute videos.
- Repost PDFs without permission.
- Share premium resources outside authorized access.
Respect the work of instructors, scholars, authors, and fellow learners.
12. No Spam or Unauthorized Promotion
Users may not:
- Send unsolicited messages.
- Post repetitive content.
- Advertise unrelated products.
- Promote external services without approval.
- Conduct unauthorized fundraising.
Educational recommendations relevant to discussions may be permitted when appropriate and non-commercial.
13. Safe and Appropriate Content
Content shared on the platform must be suitable for an educational environment.
Prohibited content includes:
- Pornographic material
- Sexually explicit content
- Violent content
- Graphic material
- Illegal content
- Malware or harmful files
- Fraudulent content
- Defamatory statements
Administrators may remove inappropriate content immediately.
14. Academic Integrity
Maintain honesty in all academic activities.
Users must not:
- Cheat during assessments.
- Submit plagiarized work.
- Share exam answers.
- Manipulate course progress.
- Misrepresent educational achievements.
Academic misconduct may result in disciplinary action.
15. Use Technology Responsibly
Users must not:
- Attempt to hack systems.
- Circumvent security measures.
- Upload malicious software.
- Interfere with platform operations.
- Abuse technical vulnerabilities.
Report suspected security issues responsibly to the Institute.
16. Reporting Community Concerns
If you observe violations of these guidelines, please report them.
